Students studying Digital Imaging and Photography at the Hugh Baird University Centre were tasked with capturing the essence of maritime Liverpool through a lens.

This project was part of a module entitled Live Projects I, which was set to help them understand how photography and digital imaging can be applied to real world situations.

They were set the brief to explore the maritime environment with the aim of developing a photographic archive for use in future publicity. The brief required students to work independently through researching and develop links within their chosen subject, whether shooting on location or in the studio. Here is a selection of some of the work presented described by the students themselves.
